Preschool Registration for my Saiya

Today began registration for the 2012-13 school year at Tiny Tots Preschool. I have three older children who've already been down this road. I thought it was going to be easier this time around. I have no clue why I thought it was going to be so easy. She doesn't start until September, but I feel sick to my stomach just thinking about leaving her in someone else's care :( But Saiya is totally ecstatic about starting. She keeps asking "I'm a big girl now, mommy?" She just melts my heart. She's one of those kids that make you smile on the darkest of days.

Since she's on the verge of being done with naps, I signed her up for the afternoon session, three days a week. I will have Hinata and the new baby home. So Saiya will be at school during nap time. I'm looking forward to how much more she'll blossom. She already amazes me everyday <3

Magid® EconoWear® SC11 Disposable Tyvek® Shoe Covers

Description(from website)

Magid® SC11 EconoWear® shoe covers offer you the protection of Tyvek® in a disposable, low cost solution. Tyvek® fabric is very strong; but is nearly impossible for the average person to tear, but can easily be cut with scissors or other sharp objects. These low-rise, elastic at ankle, white shoe covers are non-skid.

Elastic at ankle
Skid-resistant

My personal opinion

The shoe covers are manufactured very well. The elastic at the ankle are ensures that they won't slip off while your walking in who knows what. I also feel that they would be an awesome product to have if you deal with animals and don't want to walk around in fecal matter or if you work in an environment where chemicals are used. Many companies/individuals could benefit from the use of this product.

I used it while mopping the floors in my home. I'm 7 1/2 months pregnant and my balance isn't what it use to be. So I put on my house slippers and got to work. I didn't slide around not one time. I felt really safe in the shoe covers and I also saved my slippers from getting stained from the use of my usual floor cleaning product that included bleach.

I would definitely use this product for shoe wear protection.

Redecorating Ideas for the Girls Room

Since we are finally settling down in our new home that was purchased in June 2010(Yeah I know, it took us a while to get settled). I've decided that the girls bedroom decor could use a bit of updating. I've been online much of the day trying to see what sort of ideas I could come up with. I came across this website that has an abundance of things to choose from. Girls have way too many choices sometimes!! So far, I really adore the dreamland children's collection bedding set but coming in as a close second is the polka dot comforter for girls. When I asked the girls which one they liked the most, they both chose different ones. Go figure lol. I don't have too much time to get this all figured out but I feel like this site has a great deal of options that I will be able to pull it all together without having to set foot in a store.

I also realized that they have no sitting area in their bedrooms and so I began my search for a cute chair. The kids pink chair (avalon)is so cute! The girls said to me "do they have it in purple?" At least they have opinions, right. I can't wait to get started on their rooms. We're hoping to get it done before baby girl makes her debut.

31 weeks down, 9 to go!

I can't wait for those painful contractions and being given the go ahead to push this baby out. I feel like I won't be able to be "me" again until this pregnancy is over. Strangely, I was on the phone with my mom earlier today and she asked " are you having any more babies after this one?" I replied "I'm not sure". I shocked myself with that response. I really feel like we should be done and I'm at my limit. Daddy can make the babies all he wants, but Daddy gets to leave and have adult interaction for 8+ hours a day while Mommy can go days without seeing anyone besides the mailman. Here's my photo at 31 weeks(today)

Case of the Mondays

Today just felt completely off. Nothing went right from the moment my husband and three older kids set foot out the door to begin their day. Gave the bath, only to find a turd or two was in the damn tub when I drained the bath water:( For whatever reason, Saiya has been sleeping in until 10am(which really throws the morning off) and Hinata insists on going after her food as if she didn't eat 30 minutes ago. Hinata also is more clingly to me then velcro and lint. I literally can't do anything without her screaming as if I've abandoned her. I go to the bathroom she cries. We're in the same room and I get up to open a window blind, she cries. When I change positions(I'm 31 weeks pregnant, she cries. Its almost maddening. This is the time in my life where I hate living far away from family. Can't take a break or have a date night out as easily living over 1400 miles away from everyone.

Stay at home no more

Guest post from: Bruno Smith

Being a stay at home mom was fun when I was younger but I knew when my husband and I got all the kids off to college I’d want to take on more responsibility. That’s why last year when my youngest daughter graduated we decided to finally start our search for the perfect bed and breakfast to take over – we found this place using our http://www.satelliteinternetbroadband.com/ connection at home and we haven’t looked back! So far we’ve changed out all the floors and put in two new bathrooms so all the rooms have their own. Other than that we’re looking into a website designer and some marketing materials – all in all I just can’t wait to get this whole thing up and running. I can’t believe at my age I’m going to take on a project like this but as it turns out I’ve been waiting to do something like this for years and years. I know I’ve got a head for business and I’m just happy we’re finally doing it!

Geez!

You think I took long enough to blog again?? I can't believe how long its been!! I have no excuse unless you consider having five children, a hubby, and being 7 months pregnant good enough reasons to be so behind on blogging.

Don't get me wrong I love keeping busy and flipping the pages of my calendars as time goes by super fast, but it felt like just yesterday when we announced that we were expecting. I haven't nested yet, but plan on getting all baby stuff together before the end of the week(probably just jinxed myself out of that one). To make sure I get it done, I'll take pics of everything I've bought for our baby girl in an upcoming blog post(so stick around for that!).

I'm going to cut this short...for now. Its after 9pm and I just want to lay here and do nothing. I WILL be back tomorrow with an update on all things baby and life in general.

Hope you're doing well.

On Her Own

Posted by Arden Wallace

My daughter will graduate from college this month and I couldn’t be prouder. It’s been a long, tough road but she has worked very hard. She is the first in my family to graduate from college and I am very excited about her future. I love that she will be able to provide for herself and move out on her own. She already has a job waiting for her in January and I’m thrilled for her even if the job is several hours away in Denver. This weekend we are going to look for a place to live. One of the criteria I have for her first home is that it be prewired for security. I will make sure she has Home Security Colorado turned on first thing. She will be living alone for the first time and it will give me peace of mind knowing she is protected. When I told her this, she just rolled her eyes but as she spends time in the real world I’m sure she will come to appreciate it!
